Bio/Statement

Joanna Bolsins and Andrew Malczewski are two artists based out of San Antonio, Texas.

Joanna Bolsins is a BFA graduate of Texas A&M of Corpus Christi. She is an artist who works primarily in graphite/colored pencils and oil paints but also enjoys ceramics. Her work tends to focus on the idea of home and the memories invoked within the home structure.

Andrew is a MFA graduate of Texas A&M of Corpus Christi. He is an artist, educator, and craftsman who is currently working as wood shop manager at Texas State, a Gallery Tec at Blue Star Contemporary Art Gallery, and runs Monument Fine Art and Sculpture Conservation. He works in multiple mediums but prefers ceramics, pencil on paper, bronze and aluminum. His work tends to be on the side of the fantastical, and focused on questions of self-introspection and cultural relevance.
